Through this website, visitors can find information about the church, its location and programme of service. They may also view member profiles and listen online to sermons recorded in Windows Media audio format. Other features include a contact form and an online forum. Footprint Media provided consultancy on domain name registration and web hosting and secured these services on behalf of the our client. More recently, we completed an overhaul of the site and converted it to run on the Joomla! Content Management System. This enabled the members to add and edit site content without the need for any technical knowledge or experience. We also enhanced the management of audio media and added a facility to upload and play video files as well as stream video from their affiliate sites. The combination of Joomla! and the new video player facility enables the church to choose whether to make a video publicly available or to show only a preview and require a free registration in order to view the entire video. In addition to the Joomla! conversion, we also installed and configured a Google Maps API component so that the location of the church could be displayed in a more user-friendly manner than was previously possible. Work will soon commence to create new and improved flash animations and banners for the site. |
