Porstmouth Seventh day Adventist Church
The church at Portsmouth has a much larger membership compared with its counterpart on the Isle of Wight and the website needed to reflect this. The board of the church wanted to give overall responsibility to their Communication Leader who would review all content submissions made by the members. Only once the content was approved could it be published. To achieve this requirement, we installed and configured the Community Builder component, implemented a non-standard user login form and inserted an administrator column with the main template that is only visible once logged in. This column contains information about who is online and utilises a real-time chatbox so that the departmental leaders can collaborate on composing site content. The site boasts a categorised online photo gallery, an events calendar and a Google Maps API location map. The overall purpose of this site is to host textual, audio and video resource materials for use by its members and in its evangelistic activities. Footprint Media provided consultancy on domain name registration and web hosting and secured these services on behalf of the Portsmouth Adventist Church. As of February 2007, we extended our service to this client to include managed web hosting. |
